134 Delegates and 37 Delegates-at-Large for a total of 171 delegates representing 79 clubs came together on August 19, 2017 at the House of Delegates in North Charleston, SC to do the following.

Mary Jo Brubaker of the Kiwanis Club of Banner Elk  was elected Governor for the 2017-18 year.

Greg McDonald of the Kiwanis Club of Southport - Oak Island was elected Governor-Elect for the 2017-18 year.

Two amendments on standing committees were approved to take effect October 1, 2017.

 Past District Governors Council

The Council of Past District Governors shall be composed of Past District Governors who are active members of clubs within the district. The council shall elect its own chairperson who shall have a one year term with a maximum of three consecutive years. The council shall meet at their own expense at the Midyear Conference and the District Convention and may hold such other meetings as determined by the chairperson. The council shall consider and report to the District Board of Trustees its conclusion on all matters and will include a summary of its proceedings.

Investment Committee

The District Investment Committee is responsible for the management of the Carolinas District Reserve Fund. The Investment Committee shall have three (3) members each representing a different geographic region of the district (Western North Carolina, Eastern North Carolina, and South Carolina as defined in district policy). Each Investment Committee member shall serve a three (3) year term, with a maximum of 2 consecutive terms. The Committee shall operate as defined in the Carolinas District Policy and Procedure Manual.
